Our Final Um, Actually Update

Hello backers!
We're happy to announce that we've now completed fulfillment of the Um, Actually Kickstarter! Woo hoo!
We'd like to once again express our thanks to all of you for your support, not just during the Kickstarter itself but throughout the fulfillment process as well. We hope you've been having lots of fun with the game!
There are still some backers who haven't completed their surveys or who have payment issues preventing us from shipping their orders. If you discover that you're one of them, please reach out to us at [email protected] and we'll do what we can to either complete your order, or, if that's no longer possible, at least refund any payment you've already made to us.
Looking to Get More Copies?
The Um, Actually game and its add-on packs are now available for purchase on Amazon! So if you know some friends who want a copy, or if you're kicking yourself because you didn't grab one of the add-ons during the Kickstarter, just slide on over to the Um, Actually Amazon listing. For our Canadian backers, here's a link to grab the Deluxe and Standard Editions (the other items are not available there yet, but will be soon).
For our backers who aren't in North America, we'll be selling the games on the GamesQuest store (Europe) and the Aetherworks store (Australia/New Zealand)... however, we're still finalizing the details with these depots and the items are not yet available on their stores as of this writing.
What's Next?
So that's it for now, but we have lots of exciting projects in the works, including a new Kickstarter which we're hoping to launch later this year. We're not quite ready announce it yet, but if you want to stay in the loop, consider signing up for our mailing list.

Fulfillment is (almost) Complete!

Happy holidays, backers!
Well, it's been a long road, but we've finally completed fulfillment of the Um, Actually Kickstarter! Well, almost. There are a couple of exceptions:
The shipment of the Extra Whiteboards and Markers add-on got caught up in a customs snarl and only just arrived at Amazon. It will take a little time for Amazon to receive it at this time of year, but we will be shipping out those add-ons as soon as we can.
Shipments to our backers in Asia are being handled by shipping hubs in the various countries our Kickstarter shipped to. Shipping to these hubs takes a very long time, particularly to the hubs for Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines. If you live in one of those countries, we apologize for the delay. Once the hubs receive the games, they will reach out to you directly by email with your tracking information.
However, aside from those two categories, all orders have been shipped out by the depots and you should have received your order by now, or at least have received a tracking link from BackerKit. If you haven't received your order and don't have a tracking link, please reach out to us right away! We still have about 280 backers who have issues with their orders and who have not responded to the various e-mails we've sent. We need to hear from you to ship your order!
Printable Card Fixes
In our previous update, we apologized for a few errors that cropped up on game cards and directed backers to let us know about any others at our wiki (oops.umactuallygame.com). In the comments, one of our backers suggested that it would be great if we could provide PDFs of corrected cards that could be printed and applied over the cards to fix them. We thought that was a great idea (thanks for the suggestion, Mazinaru!) so here's a link (WARNING: SPOILERS) to download a PDF of corrected cards.
The first two pages fix 7 cards that had factual or layout errors, and the last two pages fix 6 more cards with minor errors such as typos. We apologize for these goofs!

We're Ready to Ship in Europe and Canada!

Hey backers,
We have some great news to share today! We had expected our ocean shipments to Europe and Canada to arrive later this month, but to our surprise and delight, they arrived last week! That means we can start fulfillment as soon as the games are checked in, which should be this week. We're very excited to start shipping your games!
Fulfillment is also proceeding smoothly in the USA and in Asia. And we've already completed fulfillment in Australia and New Zealand!

We mentioned this in a previous update, but this is just a reminder that our shipment of Extra Whiteboard and Marker Packs to the USA was delayed. Rather than hold up all of our US orders that included that item, we chose to start shipping orders without them. We'll be shipping them out as soon as they are available, which we're guessing will be around Nov 25. We'll keep you posted as we learn more.
This issue only affects orders being shipped to the USA. Shipments in other countries are not affected and will be shipped complete.
Oops!
We did our very best to make sure that the facts on all of our game cards were as correct as we could make them... but we also knew that when creating a game that has this much detail about so many different fictional universes, we were bound to make at least a few mistakes. That's why we set up a wiki to provide players with a way to report any issues that are found. So if you find something on a card that you know isn't right, the proper place to post it is oops.umactuallygame.com, under the entry for the appropriate card number (found at the bottom right of each card.)
The Shiny category in particular seems to be a real error magnet, probably because of the more complicated layout process it required. We'd like to call attention to a few layout mistakes we made in the Shiny category, just so you're aware of them before they crop up in a game:
- SH-65 (Have a Nice Doomsday!): We accidentally switched the third and fourth answers.
- SH-77 (&%#@!!!): We flipped the left and right columns. After having the players write the swear words down, the host should read out the show titles, rather than reading the swear words again. (The matches and their order shown are correct, though.)
- SH-99 (The Triwizard Tournament): The card shows the wrong matchups as the answer. They should be: Cedric vs. Swedish Short Snout, Viktor vs. Chinese Fireball, Harry vs. Hungarian Horntail, Fleur vs. Common Welsh Green.
We're very sorry for these errors!

Shipping Update: Ready to Start Shipping in USA, Australia/NZ and Asia!

Hello backers!
Today we have some great news and some not-so-great news to share with you. Let's rip off the band-aid and start with the not-so-great news.
Shipping Delays for Canada and Europe
Unfortunately, we have learned from our shipping partners that the shipments to our depots in the UK and Canada have been delayed due to port strikes (UK) and seasonal port congestion (Canada). This means that fulfillment in those two regions will likely be delayed until mid to late November.
We know this is really disappointing news for our backers in those regions, but delays like these are completely out of our control. We do have all arrangements in place at our depots so that as soon as the games arrive, we'll be able to start shipping them out right away.
We'll send out additional updates as we learn more about the timing.
Ready to Ship USA, Australia/NZ and Asia
The good news is that we're ready to start shipping to our backers in the USA, Australia, New Zealand, and Asia! Woo hoo!
In the USA, where the bulk of our backers are located, this process will likely take quite a while as we are using Amazon for fulfillment and they are still in the process of receiving the shipment and distributing it to their various fulfillment centers. We will be submitting all orders to them this week and they will ship them out as soon as they can.
Order Confirmations and Tracking
Regardless of where you live in the world, we'll use a tracked service for shipping your order if it is feasible to do so. Once your order ships out, BackerKit will email you a confirmation that includes a tracking number and link (if one is available.)
We do have a request: please do not reach out to us in the coming weeks to ask if your order has been shipped out yet. Instead, we'll send out an update once all orders have been shipped in a region, and if you haven't received a tracking e-mail yet, we'll look into the matter for you.

Addresses Have Been Locked!

Hello backers!
Just a quick update today: we have now locked addresses in BackerKit! Locking addresses is an important step which allows us to get final arrangements in place for fulfillment at our various depots, so it's exciting to be able to check that off the list.
Now that your address is locked, you won't be able to make any changes to your BackerKit record. However, if something happens and you need to make an emergency change, please reach out to us by sending us a Kickstarter message, or an e-mail to [email protected]. We'll help out if we can.
There are also still some backers whose surveys could not be locked because they never completed their payment or provided their address. If you're one of those backers, please reach out to us right away! We cannot fulfill your order if you don't provide this information very soon.
We'll send out additional updates to let you know when we're starting to ship out orders from each of our depots. Stay tuned!
