The Kickstarter may be over, but it's not too late to grab your copy of the Um, Actually home version!
Please note that we are still in the process of developing and manufacturing the game, so your order won't ship right away. We expect to ship by (or hopefully, before) August 2022.

Happy Friday!
Fridays are not just the start of the weekend, they're also the day where we test how much useless nerd knowledge you have, taking up space in your brain so that you have to google things such as "how to calculate percentages" or "how many ounces in a cup".
Challenge Results
Before we jump right in let's take a look at the results from Wednesday's Challenge. We asked you guys to participate in challenges to get your preferred topic into the Community Deck. Well, the results are in and six questions about Western Films will be added! Thank you to everyone who participated.
What’s Wrong WithThis Box Art?
This week we're testing how well you know video games! We've taken 8 classic game covers and made some tweaks. Can you spot the changes we've made? Check it out and put your gamer status to the test: https://woobox.com/cwcyyz.
Act like you're playing World of Warcraft, grab yourself a plate of chicken nuggies, and LEEROOOOY JENKINS this quiz.

It's Wednesday. On Wednesdays we wear pink. Oh, wait, no we don't. On Wednesdays, we participate in Social Challenges to decide what topics you want to be added to the Community Deck!
Poll Results
Before we jump into the new challenge, let's take a look at the results from Monday's poll! Here are the topics that won: Garfield, Scooby-Doo, Alice in Wonderland, The Aristocats, 101 Dalmatians, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, and Austin Powers. For anyone who is keeping track, those totals prove that Sassy from Homeward Bound was right: cats rule and dogs drool.
Shout Outs!
On Friday we gave you another way to engage in building the Community Deck by submitting facts! Honestly, you guys are way bigger nerds than we expected! We received a ton of awesome facts!
Here are the submissions we picked:
Karl Hegna - Chess
Winkenstoffenbluper - The Simpsons
Bryan D. - Singing in the Rain
Gene Moore - Pandemic
Andrew Corliss - Monopoly
Alex S - Marvel Comics
Christopher Thomas - Mythology
Moku - The Princess Bride
Congrats! We're sprinkling your facts with a little fairy dust, straight from Trapp's personal supply, which will transform them into Um, Actually questions! You'll be credited in the game, so make sure you take full advantage of the bragging rights!
The Challenge
This week's Challenge is Kung Fu Masters vs Cowboy Hat Wearin' Westerns. Would you rather watch Bruce Lee have a fist of fury or Clint Eastwood get a fistful of dollars? Let us know which topic you want to see added to the Community Deck by completing the social challenge below.
Whatever challenge gets the most participants WINS and six questions on the topic will be added to Um, Actually's Community Deck! We'll be searching for the corresponding hashtags, so don't forget to include them! And tag @UmActuallyShow. You can post your response on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram. You have until tomorrow, June 3rd at 11:59 pm to enter.
Kung Fu: Are you a Kung Fu movie nerd? Want to get that topic added to the Community Deck? Here's your challenge: In celebration of the glorious era of bad dubbing in Kung Fu movies, create your own or share your favorite hilariously badly dubbed scene and post the video. Use the hashtag #UmCrouchingDragon
Western: Are you a Western movie aficionado? Get Western movie questions added to the Community Deck and invite your friends to participate to boost your odds of winning. Here's your challenge: Show us your best Western shifty eyes... as seen in the cemetery showdown of The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (if you're not sure what we mean, check out this gif). Use the hashtag #UmShiftyEyes

A Purrfect Poll To Find Out Who's A Good Boy

If you've got a case of the Mondays today, then hopefully this update can turn that around. Today, we have the results from last week's Challenge, a new Pick Your Favorite poll to participate in, and an exciting announcement for you. Buckle up!
Challenge #2 Results
Last week we asked you if you preferred musicals or gangster movies. There were funny, clever, and beautiful changes to lyrics from popular musicals, and there were a ton of adorable pet photos floating around the internet all in the name of getting a topic added to the Community Deck. Well, it turns out that people really love to sing! Six cards about musicals will be added! Thanks to everyone who participated!
Shout-out to @nealheatherly. for this awesome submission and @npc_lyn for this submission for #UmNotTheLyrics.
And shout-out to this cat, who is more likely to be the John Wick than to need saving from anyone. Plus, here is more adorableness from #UmWithAPencil:
As you know, on Mondays we pit two random categories against each other as a way for you guys to build the Community Deck and decide what you want to see in it. We'll take seven movies/shows/books/etc. from each category and pit them against each other. You choose which ones you want to see in the game most! We'll tabulate the results and have the topics for seven new cards for the Community Deck.
This week is a toughie: Fictional Cats vs Fictional Dogs. I mean on one side you have the likes of Garfield, Puss in Boots, the Cheshire Cat, Pumbaa, Thomas O'Malley, Oliver, and Salem. But on the other side? Toto, Snoopy, Scooby-Doo, Clifford, Pongo, and Balto. Yikes. Who will reign supreme? Cats or dogs?
Many of you have been asking for a deck with questions that have been featured on episodes of the Um, Actually Show. We weren't really sure if that was going to happen. So we rolled a D20, factored in your high charisma rating, and hey! It worked! Behold, Trapp's Treasures, a deck of 60 questions previously featured on the Um, Actually show... hand picked by Mike Trapp himself as his favorites!
Trapp's Treasures will be available as an add-on, like the Dimension 20 deck, but we're offering it at a discounted price of only CA$ 5! To add it to your pledge you can press "Manage your pledge" at the top of the Kickstarter page and then click "change your pledge". Or, if you prefer to wait, you will have a chance to add the deck at the end of the campaign in Backerkit.
Btw...there was an intentional pop-culture mistake in Friday's update that no one caught. It was especially tricky. Have another look and see if you can track it down!

Wow! 10K backers. 🎉🎉 Let's goooooooooooo!
Today we have Monday's results, a special surprise for past Challenge participants, and something new and nerdy to engage in for the Community Deck. So, let's jump right into it!
Monday's Pick Your Favorite Results
We've tabulated the results and here are the winning topics from the Beautiful Bald Badasses vs. Luscious Long Locks poll!!! Your winning topics are Jen Yu in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Dr. Smolder Bravestone in Jumanji, Professor X in X-Men, Evey Hammond in V for Vendetta, Terry Jeffords in Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Okoye in Black Panther, and Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games. And since it's Friday, we'll say "Bye, Felicia" to the rest of the bald badasses and luscious locks that didn't make the cut.
Past Challenge Surprise
The winning topic from last week's challenge was Fairy Tales. We saw a ton of funny, intriguing, and clever submissions. We secretly picked three that we loved and asked Alex Diochon (the INCREDIBLE artist from 5-Minute Dungeon) to turn them into sketches. Congrats to @TatteLatte @VynYost and @squash157! Here are your Tweets turned to art:
For The Community Deck
For today's event, we're giving you the chance to flaunt your pedantic knowledge in a whole new way. Have a cool fact you want to see in the game? Want to have a question in the game based on that cool fact? Flex your geek wisdom and enter a little-known or often mistaken fact that is worthy of stumping die-hard fans. (Or, you know, just tell us a fact you think is cool and take all of that pressure of making it a REALLY REALLY good fact off of your shoulders)
Enter the event below to submit your fact! We'll be turning our favorite facts into questions in the Community Deck ...and might use some as inspiration for questions in the other categories in Um, Actually as well!! You'll be credited on the card, forever immortalized in the game. Just think of the bragging rights when you go to play with your friends.

It is Wednesday, my dudes.
This means it's time for our social challenge of the week!
Thank you to all the awesome people who participated in last week's challenge! The winning topic was FAIRY TALES! Six new questions about fairy tales from around the world will be added to the Community Deck!
This week's Social Challenge is about two genres that are worlds apart. Are you more of a belt-your-heart-out musical fan? Or is the chance to add gangster movie questions to the game an offer you can't refuse? Participate in the challenge below to help your preference win! Whatever challenge gets the most participation will have six questions of that topic added to the Community Deck.
Post your response on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram. Don't forget to use the hashtags so we can find your entry! You have until Friday, May 28th at 11:59 am EDT to enter.
Musicals: Whether you're more of a Broadway fan or love the High School varieties of musicals, you enjoy hearing people singing their feelings. Your challenge is to take a well-known song from a musical and change some of the lyrics to give it a VERY different meaning. You can sing it, message it, rap it! Whatever you want. Just make sure to include #UmNotTheLyrics and tag @UmActuallyShow!
Gangster Movies: If you're more into the action, badassery, and one-liners of Gangster Films, then here's your chance to get questions about it added to the deck! Your challenge is to share a picture of a pet that you would go John Wick on an entire gangster underworld for. Use the hashtag #UmWithAPencil and tag @UmActuallyShow in your post!
Hamilton: is it underrated or overrated? What do you think?
Also! We'll be posting the results of the Beautiful Bald Badasses vs Long Luscious Locks poll on Friday's update, so stay tuned for that.
